GIS Planning

The GIS Committee is responsible for developing the Geographic Information System in Logan County. In 2007, the committee contracted with Tri-County Regional Planning to develop a strategic plan. The GIS Implementation Plan was approved in March, 2008. Copies of this plan are available by contacting the GIS Committee.

Soon after the Implementation Plan was adopted, Logan County’s GIS began to develop a structure to handle to increasing workload and complexity of maintaining a GIS. A structure has been developed to provide a GIS coordinator who is employed by Logan County.

The GIS Committee will continue to develop the framework data layers. Logan County will provide the personnel support for the various GIS users in the county.
